What FastPass CDL Provides
FastPass CDL focuses on the equipment and logistics side of the CDL skills-test process. The services below describe what the equipment/access fee covers and what it does not.
Request AvailabilityEquipment/Access Service Provides
- Commercial vehicle and trailer access (Class A or Class B as confirmed)
- Private yard access for approved vehicle-control practice
- Equipment readiness and scheduling coordination
- Test-day vehicle availability, subject to availability, safety review, and written confirmation
- Required CDL-holder supervision for approved public-road operation, when applicable
Each of the above items is subject to availability, safety requirements, eligibility review, and the terms of the signed rental agreement. No item is guaranteed until confirmed in writing.
Rental Does Not Provide
- Driving instruction or a vocational curriculum
- ELDT theory (Entry-Level Driver Training classroom instruction)
- CDL issuance or Texas DPS testing
- DPS appointment scheduling or acceleration
- Pass guarantee or employment guarantee
- CDL permit or license (obtain directly from Texas DPS)
- DOT physical examination
- Housing or travel coordination
Eligibility
Who Can Request Vehicle Access
- Valid Texas CLP for the requested vehicle class and applicable restrictions/endorsements
- Any legally required medical certification and ELDT status
- Required CLP holding period and DPS eligibility
- Safety approval and compliance with rental rules
- Confirmed service schedule
People working toward a CLP may receive information but may not schedule vehicle operation. FastPass CDL does not accept requests from out-of-state applicants.
Texas DPS controls testing, scoring, licensing, locations, and appointment availability. FastPass CDL does not issue a CDL, guarantee a test result, or provide classroom ELDT theory. Equipment and service availability are subject to eligibility review and written terms.
