What Class A CDL Test Prep Looks Like at FastPass CDL
A Class A CDL allows you to drive combination vehicles — a tractor with a trailer over 10,000 lbs. GVWR. The Texas DPS Class A skills test evaluates your ability to perform the pre-trip inspection, control the combination vehicle in a BCS range setting, and drive safely on public roads.
FastPass CDL provides access to a Class A combination vehicle (tractor + 28-foot trailer) for your full prep week. You train in the truck on Days 1–4 and arrive at the Wichita Falls DPS office on Day 5 in the same combination vehicle.

Requirements for Class A Prep
What You Need Before Joining the Class A Program
To use the FastPass CDL Class A program, you must hold a valid Texas Class A Commercial Learner Permit (CLP). If ELDT theory applies to your situation (most first-time CDL applicants), you must complete it online through an approved ELDT provider before taking the Class A skills test.
You must also have a DOT medical examiner’s certificate (medical card) valid for at least the duration of your prep week and test day. Contact FastPass CDL to confirm your specific requirements before booking.
